Within half an hour of Markdale, Ontario, there are eight striking waterfalls to visit, many of which connect to the Bruce Trail or other hiking trails of equal beauty and serenity. There is so much nature to explore in the Grey Highlands area, that you could return for a visit several times and not see the same thing twice!
For downhill and cross country skiers alike, Markdale and the surrounding area offers many options to choose from. The Beaver Valley Ski Club is conveniently located only 15 minutes from the Markdale Manor, while Blue Mountain Resort is closer to 45 minutes. We can accommodate an early breakfast for the skiing enthusiasts who wish to get an early start on the slopes!
Taking in the gorgeous scenery of Grey Highlands by canoe or horseback will really elevate the experience! Make sure to plan your horseback riding or canoeing adventure well in advance by contacting the links on the next page to find out about hours and availability. There may be limitations for these activities due to weather and time of year, so make sure to call ahead.
