Luxury and Comfort

We wish to welcome you to the Markdale Manor, one of the finest Queen Anne Revival style houses in Grey Highlands, Ontario. Built by Solomon Hill in 1896, this historic manor has been exquisitely decorated and restored by your hosts, Mark and Marie, with careful consideration and attention to detail. Adorned with original woodwork, stained glass and pocket doors, you will be charmed by the century old craftsmanship throughout the interior. Enclosed by the original wrought iron fence, the estate has multiple sitting rooms, sun porches and lush gardens for you to explore and enjoy. During the late spring and summer time you can swim in our fabulous 20 x 40 ft in ground pool with cascading waterfall. There is a handy change room/washroom in the pool house just steps away, as well as an outdoor shower. Help yourself to a lounge chair, put your feet up and sip a cool glass of iced tea by the pool side!

If you are looking for the perfect relaxing getaway or just need a little pampering, Markdale Manor is just the place you have been searching for. In the morning, you will be greeted with a delicious home-cooked breakfast and coffee brewed with freshly roasted local beans. We serve only 100% real Canadian maple syrup and honey from neighbouring farms and we do our best to use seasonal, locally sourced ingredients whenever possible.
